The Leader in Liquid Waste Recycling
About NewTech, Inc. Dewatering Systems
President and founder of NewTech, Inc., Robert Dimmick, has been in the wastewater business for over 20 years. Robert started with portable toilet rentals in the late 1980’s. His interest in efficiently transporting and handling wastewater caused him to begin working with and designing dewatering systems.
NewTech Environmental sells and leases dewatering equipment all over the United States, Canada, and the Caribbean Islands. Our team is always ready to assist our customers in determining what equipment and systems will work best for their facilities needs. We also provide consulting, engineering, and training support for all of our projects.
At our home base in the State of Vermont, we also provide septic system designs for commercial and residential properties. With Robert’s experience in the septic service industry, our designs take into consideration maintenance and repair issues. Also, with Suzanne’s engineering background, our designs are very well detailed and thought through.

His interest in efficiently transporting and handling wastewater caused him to begin working with and designing dewatering systems. Robert works side by side with his customers to figure out what their needs are and designs a system that will best fit their needs. He will assist with the startup of the equipment as well as train the customer on how to operate it most efficiently. Here at NewTech we have our own dewatering facility that helps us design and test equipment. Our facility also gives people the opportunity to come in and see the process work first hand. NewTech is the parent company of Dimmick Wastewater Service. Dimmick Wastewater Service gives us firsthand experience in working with the equipment and processes on a day to day basis.
Suzanne Pickett, PE
I wonder how often people end up in careers of their childhood dreams…Needless to say, Suzanne didn’t dream of becoming a wastewater engineer. For the first few years after college, she worked at a civil engineering consulting firm where most of the clients were Vermont municipalities needing planning, design, permitting, and construction services. Next, she spent nearly a decade working for the State of Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation in the Wastewater Management Division. There she served the public by ensuring compliance with Residuals Management Plans for sludge and septage managers as well as NPDES discharge permits for wastewater treatment facilities. Here at NewTech Environmental, Suzanne designs septic systems and ensures that they are installed properly, obtains various types of permits, and provides consulting services for dewatering facilities to manage waste efficiently and cost effectively. It’s exciting for Suzanne to step back and see that all of her work experiences have been stepping stones to get to the point where she can do what she loves and loves what she does! In her spare time, Suzanne volunteers on the Town of Randolph Water/Wastewater Advisory Committee, for the Randolph Youth Basketball program, and at her local church.
Bailey’s background is in Architectural Engineering and Construction Management. She grew up in Vermont and loves the small town living. As Robert’s daughter, she grew up in and around the wastewater and septic services industry and has grown to have an appreciation for this line of work. She is currently working side-by-side Robert and Suzanne doing septic system design work as well as dewatering facility upgrade project management. She also has her hand in the accounts payables and receivables, marketing, and general office management
